It is a smart detector meaning the detector is excellent in fire safety. They have the ability to communicate through apps and alert the residents with sounds. Smart alarms can also communicate with each other meaning you will be able to detect where the fire is coming from when the alarm goes off; however, smart devices are more costly. I suggest investing in a smart device because your safety is worth it.
The battery of this smoke alarm will last for ten years and it can detect smoke and carbon monoxide. The only problem with this alarm is it is more costly and it is only compatible with Apple devices.
First Alert BRK 3120B
This is another very highly recommended smoke detector. It is a very dependable product and you will be well protected. It has ionization and photoelectric sensors that will be able to detect at a quick speed and it will also be able to detect fires that are burning slowly. An ionization sensor can recognize fast burning flames even though they do not produce as much smoke. They have two metal plates and they have the ability to ionize the air with their small amounts of radioactive material. The ionization is designed to help detect smoke and will trigger the alarm once the ionization is interrupted. This smoke detector can be hardwired and you can have a backup battery so most likely it will work all of the time.
